I've put freespire,mandrake,mandriva,pc/os.mint 7,ubuntu 904 on my 1501 and 2 os's are keepers work very well and stable the others seem to like desktops better.the mint 7 is sweet but the ubuntu is the best so far,I tried to get beatrix to load but i guess it don't like newer laptop with guts,so in my opion I'd say try Ubuntu 904 or Linux Mint7 and enjoy,but hey to each their own..thanks...Joe
